Hello all!
I have to start off by saying this past couple of days have been brilliant! First of all the weather has been absolutely great with sun sun and more sun I think that’s well good as finally myself and the kids feel like summer has actually arrived! What better way to celebrate the sun by going out and basking in it, right?
So even though we’ve had a bunch of family time outside in the garden, Michael kindly offered to take the kids out and about to London Zoo whilst I was free to do what I liked. Today I definitely pampered myself. I phoned my friend Sara and we each got a mani and a pedi. Then we treated ourselves to lunch at a fantastic little café near the house. Everything made fresh and in house. The spinach quiche is quite the masterpiece. Afterwards we headed for some much needed shopping and fresh fruit smoothies. I did buy that hat at M&S and a pair of cute sandals! They were a bargain at only 12 quid. I think of myself to be quite trendy but still sensible and I think I made a good choice here’s a picture
Finally we wrapped it with a lie-in in the park. After awhile Michael and my little munchkins met us there. They were so exited to tell me about their days. Jakey loved the monkeys and gorillas. He was parading around beating his chest as if he was King Kong or something. Josh was mesmerized by the Komodo Dragon but was a bit disappointed because apparently it doesn’t spit fire, bless. Mia said she especially liked the lions and cheetahs. She’s so amazed with their agility and speed. And my little Fliss was besotted with the zebras and something called an Okapi. Now I’ve never heard of such an animal so I went online to have a look. It looks sort of like a zebra and a giraffe with no spots. It’s a strange looking animal but Fliss thinks they’re very cute. She asked me if we could help save them because they are nearly endangered. I told her I’d see what there was online and try my best to do something. The best conservation project I found was here because it seems to work together with the local communities and donations to help protect this animal.
Overall it was a great day.
Toodles!
